Obituary for Edward Dean Byrd

Edward Dean  Byrd
Edward Dean Byrd, 61, of Weston passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born in Weston on September 10, 1952: son of the late Eugene Byrd and Leah June (Trosper) Byrd.
Mr. Byrd is survived by three sisters: Dorothy Hatfield of Blacksburg, VA, Margie (Roger) Freshour of Glenville and Deanna (Andy) Clark of Weston and brother: Charles (Carol) Alfred of Baltimore, MD. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by one sister: Patricia Brown.
Mr. Byrd was an employee of H & K Casting of Weston for five years and was a handyman for several odd jobs. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School with the “Class of 1970.” He loved to ride Harley Davidson’s and enjoyed Bluegrass music. Mr. Byrd was a veteran of the United States Navy and spent two tours in Vietnam.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Kenneth Miller officiating.
